Most underappriciated character in Melee?

Some characters have great potential that goes unnoticed. I would have to say that Ness is one of these characters. Ness appears bad at first, but can be deadly when mastered. Who do you think has talent that goes the most unnoticed?

It all depends on WHO is using them. For me, that character is Bowser. No one uses him at a tournament level, from my experience, so if you can master him, you can give competitors quite the scare. It is simple, find the most bottom tier character, and exploit it.

Well in my personally opinion I would say Ice climbers (I never have used them alot..) But im sure if you mained them they could be good  :O

Pichu, if I remember right, he is slightly stronger than Pikachu (thus hurting himself), and due to his faster speed and small extirior(SP?), he can really pack a punch...

So true.  My choice of character would be Mewtwo.  He's weak and hard to use but he can be also good depending on who uses him.  I agree with MoM on this.

And don't say "It's a worse version than Pikachu", cause I can't even play as pikachu. MEANWHILE, I beat very hard all-star without continuing with Pichu.
