Spyro is neglected in terms that it has gone from one of the best platformers ever to just shovelware.

Pilotwings, which had games on the SNES and N64, was never released further on, probably due to the acquiring of the developer in 2000.

Wave Race was released on the Gameboy, N64, and GCN, but Nintendo's deal with Kawasaki quickly expired.

And of course, Mother/Earthbound. There's no company dissolve/expiration to explain this, Nintendo of America is simply too lazy to translate it all.

Have you played any franchises that you wish were still around/good?

Sonic.
It's around...but most of the new games are terrible.
Uh...I guess the James Bond games. Nightfire for GCN was hella fun, but the new games are rather bleh. Goldeneye 007 was also one of the best games I've ever played. As for The World Is Not Enough...it was fun, but not like Goldeneye 007.
What else...eh, that's all I have for now.

It sucks that the XBLA port was cancelled.

If the XBLA got Goldeneye 007, the VC would have got every other Rare game AND Goldeneye.

On the contrary, I heard that some higher-up in Nintendo is trying to make everyone forget that Earthbound ever came out in the States, not that they're too lazy to translate.

EARTHBOUND IS A LIE. IT NEVER EXISTED. THAT THING IN YOUR SNES IS NOT REAL.

Jono2

F-Zero.

but that's balanced with the fact that when they do come out with console games, they're frickin amazing.

Yeah, we probably won't get a new F-Zero for a while, but I wonder how much better they could get it to look on the Wii.

CoolSlyZero

The Pokemon Stadium franchise. The first two were a lot of fun surprisingly, then Pokemon Colosseum flushed it straight down the crapper. It only got worse from there on, and then.....Pokemon Battle Revolution

Colo and XD aren't really sequels, only PBR is, and yes, it sucks.

I don't know how you can make a sequel and put in less stuff than there was in the original.

Oh wait. Adding online was Nintendo's excuse to take everything good out of the game in some situations.
Case in point:

Garbage compared to the GCN version.
