Hurry, before my mom buys a poopy computer again! She finally decided to buy a new computer, but she dosn't know what to get. And her friends are telling her to get a crappy Dell office computer! We are looking for something with some friggin memory (Watch a video on this hunk of poop and it takes an hour to do anything >_>) to watch videos on, save pictures, play games, etc...

Also one that my mom can save all of her hospital work crap on. So, what should we get?

Something with at least 2GB of memory, 80GB of HDD, an actual ATI or nVidia graphics card, and costs at least 700 dollars.

Ehh...If you want a dell get a XPS  210 or a XPS  420. Both are at 999$ starting price.

You're asking for a $700-$1200 computer. Too bad PC's are so complicated to buy. X|

Macs are way easier to buy. Don't say I'm a fanboy, because I KNOW what's it's like to buy a pc or mac. Mac's are easier.

That's me. :D ^

PCs aren't complicated. Find one you like, and buy. Where's the problem?

Not really. You look at the specs. Buy.

Mac on the other hand.. Last time i checked they can't play all the lastest PC games without some sort of special edition.

Unfortuanatly, it's true. Developers have given up hope for Macintosh. But most of the games on Macs are really good! *Note: "Most" means high rated games from PC.

I've played Age of Empires III for Mac and PC. Ironically, the Mac version was much better in my opinion.

Oh yeah how so? o.o  I need to reinstall AOE III... I'm getting tired of Rise Of Nations.

The highest we are willing to pay is $1000. So a $700 or $800 is no big deal.

So anyone know what exactly to get? Brand and everything?

I don't see XP in stores anymore, thats the XP method, in Vista, Start>Computer>There is something that says Specs or something in a bar near the top.
