Help with unlocking a certain character (spoilers)

All right, I'm recycling this topic, so I'm using a thumb up for the icon ^-^

Another quick note:  mods, don't lock after answered.  I'll lock it because I might keep recycling this topic if I have questions so I don't have to make a new thread each time.

It's a certain pink puffball that's pissing me off.  I have completed that event match #20 over 10 times, each difficulty.  Am I doing something wrong?  Do I need to use Pikachu or Kirby to do it?  If I use Luigi, will I need to complete classic mode again with Luigi with certain criteria?


Also, below that line, there's bigger character spoilers.  You might not want to click that button or quote that if you don't know the full roster.

[spoiler]Yeah, I put spoilers because some dumb user who was hiding from the spoilers until he got the game, still not knowing who the characters are, is bound to click this, and blame me for ruining the game for him; it's just my luck.

Ok, so I was reading online that I need to beat the SSE, then do the stuff to get Jiggly, Toon Link, Gannon, and Wolf.  Maybe I'm confusing myself, but can someone tell me the way to unlock those four characters without going through the SSE (if necessary) or Brawling in multiplayer mode a certain number of times?  My "Premiere Edition" guide is a piece of poop, for those of you that didn't see the thread about it a week ago.  Thanks in advance.

tl;dr - How do I unlock Jiggly, Toon Link, Gannon, and Wolf without making them join you in the SSE or Brawl a certain # times in multiplayer.[/spoiler]

Wolf - Play through Boss Battle mode as Fox

Toon Link - Beat Classic mode with Link or Zelda

And for Jigglypuff.... I honestly don't remember....

you can get everyone through the SSE.  ganon is through the natural progression of the storyline, and the other three characters are hidden in some of the levels after you clear the game.  much easier than the other methods.

This is to unlock the characters WITHOUT beating SSE.

Ganondorf - Beat Classic mode with Link or I THINK Zelda/Shiek on Hard.
Jigglypuff - Play 350 Vs. Matches
Toon Link - Play 400 Vs. Matches
Wolf - Play 450 Vs. Matches.

There is no known way to unlock the last 3 without beating Subspace Emissary.

You should just play SSE and if you complete it...

Ganondorf - Will join your party normally.
Jigglypuff - You can find her in a hidden room after you beat it or Complete Event Match 20
Toon Link - You can find him in a hidden room after you beat it or Complete Classic with Link
Wolf - You can find him in a hidden room after you beat it or just play Boss Battle Mode w/ Fox

the harder way:

Ganon-play a lot of vs. matches probably like 300 or something. less than jiggs.

jiggs- 350 matches

toon link- 400 matches

wolf-450 matches

i had the same problem. i put it on one stock and played as wario and killed my self 200 times to unlock the last three in one night like 2 hours its easy. if you don't want to do someting like that keep playing matches and you'll get them eventually.

It was easier than it was in Melee, actually.  Coin Launcher is addicting.

Yeah, the one stock match was the way how I unlocked Snake and a few of the stages.

You have to beat SSE and then do event 20 to unlock her.

Otherwise, go to "the swamp" level, and somewhere there will be a door that leads you to her. Not sure which door though. You can use youtube for that.

Oh.  That darn SSE.  Thanks :)  I'm only 19% done.  Guess what I'll be doing during this 5 day weekend?  ::)
