My poor cousin.  He's missing out on Brawl for a stupid reason.  Maybe I'll challenge him on Sunday when he comes over for Easter and convince him otherwise...

I'm really bad with the Wiimote :(  I'm using the Gamecube controller because I'm used to the controls.

Well, it is true. Most use gamecube because they don't want to go and learn a new control setting. They just wanna jump right into the game. Oh, and I`m not saying I`m sticking up for them. I use a VC controller, and all my friends use gamecube (one sometimes switches from GC to VC). Like you said, using a wiimote is hard, and yes, using any other control type is hard, but it kinda makes me wish nintendo didn`t put in GC compatablility. It`s hard knowing your opponent already has an advantage over you, even though you didn`t even start fighting. :( I can see why your friend doesn`t want it so much. :(

Good luck convincing your cousin.  Smash Bros was meant for the GC controller.  Not the wii remote.

I dissagree. I use the Wiimote/nunchuck (customized a bit) and it feels way better than a gamecube controller. Its almost the same as a cube controller but spaced out more and feels better in hand.

I haven't even tried the Wii remote or the VC controller. I just use my gamecube one. It's probably the easiest, and I'm used to it. :)

I tried the Wiimote, but not the VC or Nunchuk.  The jumping on the wiimote is a little but of a pain to put it lightly, as you need to tap up.  I don't think that D-pad was meaint to go multiple ways, otherwise, GH3 wouldn't have just Red on it (star power's on it too, but when do you press red and star power at the same time?).

I just tried it again.  It was worse than I thought  :(

Why should your cousin care how other people play the game? If he would rather use the wiimote, then that's what he should do. He's boycotting it for a stupid reason, especially because no one else is going to stop playing just because he refuses to. I use the GC mostly, but I am comfortable with the sideways wiimote. I've never tried the nunchuk, and I don't have a VC, but I'll try the nunchuk version out next time I play.

Its hard to explain but to me when I use the wiimote the feel of it seems extremlly similar to the gamecube contoller, like the controls are in the same place, Idk maybe im just weird but thats how it feels like ;)

I use Sideways . . . it's just one of my controllers is messed up and it jumps for no reason

I still use Cube. You get used to it when you've been playing Melee for six years. But I'm trying to learn the wiimote + nunchuk. It'd be better if C-sticking was easier.

But you're used to the gc controller more so wouldn't you be better with that than anything else?

I do pretty good with the wiimote. I am too lazy to get the gamecube controller, so I just learned teh controls to the wiimote
