What control scheme do you use?

I use the VC controller. I haven't tried the GC controller, but my little brother, his friends, and my dad have.

O_o dude thats exactly the same problem im having. Im like wide open to an attack! sometimes I really have to smash the dang thing.

I use the Gamecube Controller too...but the C-stick works fine for me. Charging it with Z also works fine.

I use Nunchuck since I basically only need one finger for each button besides taunting:  Left thumb does moving (I always do tap jumping), Left index does shielding, Right thumb does Standard/Smash attacks (I smash with A and control stick), and Right index does specials (I grab with A&B at the same time).

This way, unless I'm taunting, I don't need to waste that split-second reaching for another button.

the other 1/2 its GC controller

They feel almost exactly the same to me, besides the taunting...
