I showed my brother a replay of me as Meta Knight vs Marth vs Diddy Kong. Now, I didn't grab a CD or a sticker. I was fighting on the Warioware Stage. I showed my brother, but my glorious combo moment didn't appear. I comboed (Spelled wrong, I think.) Marth into a Soccer Ball, which shot him into a Bob-Omb which shot him and Diddy into a Smart Bomb. But it didn't happen.

I went off of the edge several times, and Marth won. I used the Wiimote playing style as my defense, not getting what happened.

Saturday. Last Saturday. My brother and I did Smashville for the concert, fighting two Yoshis. But then when there was one Yoshi left and we comboed him into a Smart Bomb and threw two Smart Bombs at him...it didn't appear. Instead, my brother and I went straight off of the edge. I died once and he died twice in the actual match, but apparently we went off of the edge 7 times straight. The Yoshi commited suicide after that. I was Zero Suit Samus and he was Zelda. But we picked up the CD.

I know that a CD triggers some...thing to occur with the Replays. But these were on normal stages, one CD, and we died numerous times. And, if you don't know what's going on and it hasn't happened to you or something like that, then follow the link below this.

This contains spoilers for ONE character that you most likely don't know about. If you don't want to spoil it, then okay. But this boggles my mind a bit more.

Someone please tell me how and what is happening with the Replays!

La Pared

yea i saw that yesterday on gonintendo. its very weird that it does that. Im glad that it hasnt messed up my replays.

Well, thats certainly a scary thing...

I guess SSBB isn't a perfect game after all.  :-X

This is a problem with SSBB, but I think I can tell you what happened.  Okay, so as you know, replays record the entire match exactly as it happened.  WRONG!  What the replay ACTUALLY records is a series button presses by all the human players.  So say you did a forward smash.  It would record you pressing the a button and the analog stick and a direction.  Now, since computers are not human players, it doesn't record their button presses.  Now, something, such as getting a CD somehow affects this data.  Now, let's say in the match that you run left.  If the replay data is messed up by this, you would run left right off the edge.  Are you starting to get what I'm saying?  But since computers aren't humans, they will still fight as if it was an entirely different match.  Hope that helps some.  There isn't really anything you can do, but I've heard that everytime you watch it there will be a 50% chance that it will be the correct replay.
My sig is gone cause it had spoilers:(

Lol, Brawl's haunted its kind of scary. Maybe Sakurai made it so whenever a replay of a character he hates win's he glitched it so the character he likes more would win  :P.

Vocaloid

Happened to me too. I just stood still during a sudden death. Even though I actually killed everyone during it.

Dude, it doesn't affect the game in any way...other than wrong Replays.

SSbmfan5: Thanks for explaining it. All I knew was that CDs screwed it up. ;D

Eh, I was getting tired of people ONLY using broken characters.

Don't bring the Ike fight into this. I have only ever fought 2 Ikes, in 20 wifi matches.

Well, this is a glitch that can be fixed by a patch.

Oh wait.  :|
