Hello, and welcome one and all to the guide to the fifteen minute Brawl!
I know some people (not particularly HERE) have been having trouble with the fifteen minute Brawl, and thought I'd like to help with some good strategies, characters, and techniques to use to help you guys beat this mode. It's not terrible hard, but more annoying than anything. I've beaten this mode with a lot of characters in many different ways. Let's start with the Alloys themselves.

The alloys will rarely ever KO you unless they are in swarms (four or five on screen at a time). Keep this in mind, so don't ever be afraid to actually fight them if need be. I've gotten into the 200% of damage and not died from their attacks. This is important to know, so you don't feel scared to actually attack them. The non-alloy characters (Mario, Yoshi, etc.) that show up after a while need to be KO'ed as quickley as possible. They can actually KO you (although it is highly unlikely). Also, their special (B) moves can also become a pain in your strategies.

Red Alloy- Threat: Moderate - These guys generally tend to be the biggest pain since they have the longest reach and the most powerful moves of the four alloys. For most of the strategies I'm going to go over, these guys tend to disrupt them the most. Kill them whenever possible if you can.

Blue Alloy- Threat: Virtually none - Blue Alloys tend to SD a lot. Which is helpful in many ways. Also, they boost small attack strength and the worst range of the four. Pay little attention to these idiots. They'll occasionally use their down tilt while guarding the edge, but this is rare, and any decent up B will counter it.

Yellow Alloy- Threat: Minimal - These guys are a middle ground between the Red and Blue alloys. They can disrupt strategies, but aren't that big a deal. Due to their shortaned range, these guys easily get caught in anything you can really throw at them. Edgeguarding also works well against them.

Green Alloy- Threat: Fair to Middlin - Green Alloys don't work against the edgeguarding rule due to having Kirby's fly jumps. Also, these guys seem to have a decent range for some odd reason. However, the green alloys tend to be the most stupid, mindlessly walking into anything you do. As usual, use that to your advantage.

Items to use and items to avoid:

Assist Trophies and Pokeballs: Try to get these whenever possible. If they are out of the way, or disrupt what you are trying to do, don't bother since you will only take damage trying to get them. However, if near your or there are no alloys around it, grab it. They will do the fighting for you! Saki Amamiya, Little Mac, Knuckle Joe, Grey Fox, and Andross are generally the most helpful of AT's, sicne they can move around and attack alloys themselves. Of course there are the useless ones like Goldeen and Tingle, but it is still worth trying to get these items if at all possible.

Superspicy Curry: Another very useful item for the fifteen minute brawl. When this item is in effect, it is IMPOSSIBLE for the alloys to hit you if you're facing them. So, simply stand near the edge facing the center of the stage, and it'll basically give you 15-20 seconds of invincibility.

Fire Flower: Not as potent as the Superspicy Curry, but helpful nonetheless. Keep alloys away with minimal chance of getting hit using the fire. However, you are left open from above, so jump and fire to protect yourself from airborne alloys

Starman: Invincibility...DUH! Allows you to just stand there for some time to kill. Also, it is the only item the Alloys can actually use. Should an Alloy grab one, abandon whatever strategy you are using and simply run until the starman wears out. Luckily, the effect lasts much shorter should an Alloy get one.

Smart Bombs, Bomb-Ombs, Flame Crates, anything that explodes: Avoid at all costs. These are the primary reasons you should ever die in this mode either by accident or triggering their effects. Nothing feels worse than doing well and triggering a Smart Bomb with fifty seconds left and getting killed by it. Trust me, save yourself the risk and don't even go near these things. Sure, they may be useful, but you're more likely to die by them than them helping you.

Bumper: Helpful, and unhelpful at the same time. Although unlikely to kill you in this mode, these tend to cause a pain in the ass situation that will cause you to take damage. Avoid if possible, although at low percent damage use towards the center of the stage.

Strategies:

Edgeguarding: Use at your own risk. Personally, I've found this to be the most tiresome way of beating this mode. Not to say it isn't possible, I've done it, I just don't like using it since there is a high risk of messing up or getting hit and getting caught underneath the stage. It's helpful if you use someone like Lucario, Ike, DDD, etc. who have a pure vertical invincible recovery to do this.

King DeDeDe: I've found this way to be the easiest of all the strategies I have done this mode with. First, head to the middle platform the highest up. Then, simply spam DeDeDe Jump (Up B) without moving left and right. It's an instant kill for Alloys, and they don't really hit DDD while he is using it. In the rare times I got hit using this move, DDD's weight makes it hard to die as him. Just be careful not to land on anything explosive that should spawn underneath you. This way also gets you the most KO's if that is what you are trying to accomplish for this mode.

Lucario: Aura Sphere (Neutral B) is your best friend in this mode. Second easiest way to beat this IMO. First, stand on either side of the stage, have your back towards the center (face away from the stage) and simply press B once. Aura Sphere will build up, getting big enough to protect you from any attacks given to you. The alloys are generally stupid enough to just walk into it and bump away from you. You will get hit a few times, but should that happen, simply run away to hte other side and charge Aura Sphere again. Just be careful of any items spawning right behind you. Edgeguard should you get caught in a tight corner

Ike: Aether (Up B) spam usually works in this mode. You will get hit, but Ike's weight negates the damage most of the time. This can also be used for edgeguarding, although doing it inbetween the floaging platoforms works bests. I know people who can't use this, and people who can. I've done it, so it's certainly POSSIBLE to use this, although I don't recommend trying this first.

Mario: This is another way I don't recommend using but is possible to use. Jump off the edge, and use Mario's recovery to attack, edgeguard, repeat. There is a high chance of messing up and falling off, or taking a lot of damage should you for some reason inexplicably miss. I've done it, it's possible to do, but I don't recommend using this method. Just putting it out there...

Sonic: There are a variety of ways to use Sonic in this mode. The most effective way I've found is to spam spindash around the bottom part of the stage. Although this is suseptible to leave you open for attack, Sonic's speed allows you to get out of it. Also, you can also jump off the edge, and use homing attack back to recover/attack simultainously. Not very effective, but doable. Also, Sonic's dash attack also works well for this mode since it blocks any attacks the alloys use on the ground. Sonic isn't the best person to use, but has the most ways to use him in this mode.

Wolf: Blaster Spam (B) works surprisingly well in this mode. Due to the knife the blaster has, it allows close and long range attacking. All I can say is to use it at the edge facing the stage. You will get hit, but like I said, the Alloys don't have enough knockback to really kill you. Easy to use, but sort of hard to finish the mode with. Doable and easy, just you might mess up at times.

Kirby: The Rock (Down B)....nuff said

These are the main ways I've done this mode in. I'm sure there are some characters I missed, or some strategies with ones I've given that I haven't tried, but for the most part these are the main ways I've beaten this mode in to help all of you sucky people. Enjoy your Green Alloy trophy!

I said you can edgeguard with it, just dont' use it too often since Aether for some odd reason eventually stops grabbing the edge.
I don't like Sonic's downsmash, since it doesn't attack airborne enemies nad leaves you open...which is why I didn't include it, since I didn't do it with that attack.

Rapid slap down the C-Stick, very small point of being open.

Just going to interfere a bit here, but this worked for me >_>

1. Get a friend to play.
2. Get friend to do Multi-man brawl
3. One of the two plays as Bowser, the other as Donkey Kong
4. Spam Down B with DK
5. Have Bowser protect DK

Worked for me easily, and it still beats any of the stadium related challenges.

Dude .

Cornwad

I just used two Lucarios and Aura Sphere...
I always got attacked the most by blue alloys, their kicks can get past the Aura.

I'm going to do the 100 Man Brawl now, as I go along doing it.
Of course, this mode generally has more than one way to do it...
These are just ways I did it.
