How would you define the words "Love" and "Hate"?

It's my homework assignment. >.>  And I'm currently lazy.

...Very lazy.

And I don't quite know how to define both those words in an extended way...*thinks*..

Love - The feeling you get when you like a person for more than sexual attraction, the feeling that you don't want to lose them.

Hate - The feeling that you want to murder that person, mash the guts until it's too gross to look at, then box it and mail it to their parents.

When I described love in an extended definition, I wrote:

"When two people are in love with each other (Or have met in the bar and are incredibly drunk off alcohol), they?ll express that love to each other in the warm embrace of sex."

I am SO keeping it like that.

Love - Avoid, if at all possible.
OR
Whoever said "It's better to have love and lost than to have never loved at all", was obviously a dumbass who never got laid in his life.
Hate - An overused word that has lost it real meaning.
