Killing Edge from Fire Emblem. Sort of like a Beam Sword, but with less reach. And 50% of the time, your character will do a "Critical Hit," which does twice the damage and has knockback equal to Ike's smashes. If you get a Critical, it disappears afterwards. Criticals only appear if you actually hit the enemy.
