ehh, sometimes.  I haven't played any real serious matches yet.

I play with all items off, including FSmashes when I'm by myself, but when I'm with my brother, we play with FSmashes on sometimes.

They're just so horribly unbalanced.

The only time I do is when it comes out of a capsule thrown by DeDeDe. Seeing as my research has shown Purple D3's spawn more Smash Balls than the other colors, I refuse to play as a purple one. Sepia and Blue spawn more Gordo's, however.

Yes, originally it was to see which spawned Gordo's more; but Smash Ball/Dragoon became interesting.

Also, in Melee, Purple Peach often got more powerful turnips....believe me, color matters.
