Just a quick Google Image Search brings that stuff up, although I get more yuri than yaoi (mostly because I look up the female characters a lot more).  It's just a bit annoying in two cases: 1) you're looking for a normal pic of the character or 2) you're at a public computer and someone's looking over your shoulder.

Then you get someone like Yuu-chan from LS and you feel a bit uncomfortable.

But I'm not an otaku so I don't have favorite animu characters that get thrown into yaoi, nor do I go to sites where yaoi is common.

Of course. I browse sites designed for the purpose of exploiting cherished characters in all sorts of ways, yaoi included. Yoshi, Kirby, Link...I've seen it all, and it doesn't bother me one bit.
