When he said clone, he meant, same moveset.

They'yre moves are slightly modified from each other, I agree, but they all use blasters and shields and can all use a quick side b attack and have almost the exact same up b.

The only real difference is that Fox is fairly weak but fast, Falco is fast but mid-powered, and Wolf is fast AND powerful, and gets priority, making him (In my opinion) cheap.

*yes I'm back for today for a few posts anyway*
1. 39 characters: The PKMN Trainer spot is always at least one pokemon, not really the "Trainer" so its more like 2 "transformations", and how you have to beat Classic 39 times to get everyone.

2. All previous clones are "Luigi-fied" as you guys like to put it. Not pure clones (like hte Dorf - C.Falcon debacle), but still similar enough to make them "origional" characters. The only character this makes sense for is Luigi, because they're brothers and such. Falco, Wolf, Ganondorf should never resemble any other character ever...unfortunatley Sakurai seems to have forgotten this. It's still better than Melee tho, so I won't gripe too much about it.

3. Yea, it seems Sakurai got a bit 'I'm bored with this" towards the end there. Most of us could easily add another 10 characters that would be non-clones ever and fill the 40-50 roster. The only reason I care is due to the rather lackluster list of newcomers. They were either too obvious (DDD, Ike, Diddy) or "WHY!?" characters (PKMN trainer, ROB, just to name a few). Not too many ones that would really work yet still fill the popularity vote actually got in (Ike, Sonic, and Pikmin are probably the only ones that fit both popoularity and playabiliy).

4. Always hope for Smash 4 (Nintendo, quit saying "maybe we wont' since Sakurai is gone"...we know you're going to make it. You won't stop Mario and Zelda games once Miyamoto is gone, and you make Metroid games and Yokoi has been dead for years now...)

Well, this is a nice way to look at things. =P
The only clones to me anymore are really Mario/Luigi. Space Animals and Falcon/Dorf are different enough to not really be considered clones.

But meh, Nintendo will probably make another Smash game in a few years because there will be a huge demand.

Kind of how Hideo Kojima said MGS3 was the last Metal gear solid game he would direct.
But because of high demand, he returned to direct MGS4...

If they were smart, they would take the engine from Jump Ultimate Super Stars and make a new Smash game for their new handheld.
