Why I Think Some Characters Stayed, And Some Left, And Why They Stayed The Same.

well technically every link i guess is different with a few exceptions
we dont add every link since the beginning of time into the game
i would strongly agree with you except for two things:
1. toon link was ruined because he was made a straight clone and not given "windwaker" abilities
2. paper mario wouldve been a really cool replacement for the doctor because he would have dozens of new, unique moves

1. I beleive he was the same because people would've gotten their main (If Young Link) ruined.
2. True, but I still think that the only reason he wasn't in is because he IS Mario.

1. I cant believe that because many of the old Falco users have moved on because his moves were so altered.  Toon links couldve been the same plus it would call for a broader variety of users.
2. True, but i just think that even though Dr. Mario was in melee (another Mario) Paper Mario offered a more unique attempt at Mario

1. Let's say someone mained Young Link in Melee. In Brawl, if Toon Link was completely different, people would have lost their original main. Although they could probably just use regular Link. Still...

2. Sure Paper Mario would be unique, but he is still the same Mario. The only difference is the Paper quality and some different abilities. He is STILL the same person as Mario. Whereas Toon Link and Link are two different people!
