Nintendo actually made a commercial advertising one of their games that wasn't a Wii Would Like To Play commercial.

The commercial was for Mario Kart Wii and featured a cowboy advertising "Mario Kart Emporium" using the Wii Wheel as the selling point.

It may not have been the best commercial, however it shows that Nintendo might attempt to make different, and hopefully better commercials.

The Wii YouTube account uploaded two of them. I was amazed too at that it wasn't a "Wii would like to play" commercial.

OMG, that was a HORRIBLE commercial! Don't get me wrong, I can't stand the "Wii Would Like TO Play" ones either, but this commerical is making me miss them... And that's sad...

Now, what would get a change of pace going is to make a good commercial for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

Although, maybe not, seeing how the past commercials have been. It'd ruin it probably...

I just thought about that today.
I think it's because they want you to use the Wii Wheel.
In every other game they did a "Wii Would Like To Play" Commercial, you were able to just play with the single Wii-mote, and it would look weird if they did it with a Wii Wheel
