OK I have this triangle. Right angle of course. It looks like this:

      |\
      | \
      |  \    14
x   |   \
      |    \
      -----   48 degrees

I'm thinking I use sin, but not really sure...
YEAH

Silverhawk79

Trying to find x, eh?
What you do is this:
...intercourse  why can't i remembeeeeeeeeeeer
:|
I'm in pre-calc, I should remember this, but my brain is mush right now. Sorry.

It's ok, my brain is mush right now too. :P
YEAH

you use sine because it's opposite over hypotenuse.  sin(48?) = x/14, solve for x using inverse sine.

Java

The only thing I remember is to help you out, use the name of the Indian:

SOH CAH TOA

I thought it was more like a volcano.

Like Krakatoa.

My teacher made up a story about it being an Indian so I stick with that one.

that's not good, it's fundamental trigonometry.

ARGH...

I don't want to have to ever do that stuff...

Smashin

This math is next year for me. We actually skipped over trigonometrical functions in our book.
