What is the best Sonic game in your opinion?

List what you think is the best 2D Sonic game, and the best 3D Sonic game.
I personally think Sonic 3 is the best 2D one. It was my first Sonic game (I first played it when I was 5) and I still play it to this very day. The best 3D one is Sonic Adventure 1 or 2.

Sonic Adventure 2: BATTLE! was the best 3-D one. I never gave the 3D ones an honest try. I better break out Gems collection and Mega collection tomorrow.

Because wiiboychris sucks at life.

And it's OK if you liked Sonic next-gen, I liked it too, but it would have been better if it wasn't rushed.

Sonic 2. It's just so AWESOME! Level Design is perfect, music is epic, and plus, TAILS! :O

3-D catagory:

Does Sonic Rush count? :D If it doesn't, I would say Sonic 3-D blast!

Other catagory:

Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine! This game was so addictive, it wasn't even funny! >_> <_<... :D

2D - Dunno, never completed one.
3D - Sonic Adventure 2: Battle all the way, it's gonna be hard to beat that.

Sonic Rush is more of a 2.5D game because the characters are 3D and cel-shaded, but the gameplay is a side-scroller.
