Alternate costumes(not color changes)

  You know how one of links and tl costumes is dark link?Or one of peach's suits is daisy?
Well wouldn't it have been cool if they did that with other characters?Let me explain:

Instead of color changes they could do "alternate costumes" Where they make characters look like other characters from that game series(the moves would stay the same though).


For example.

Sonic:one of his suits could be shadow.

Luigi or wario:one of his suits could be waluigi.

Bowser:dry bowser

Mario:shadow mario,racoon mario,8 by 10 bit mario.

Yoshi:birdo

Marth:roy

Pikachu:Pichu
Ect.

Dont flame if its a bad idea.

You should probably elaborate a bit more.

In order to have an "alt costume", you just can't change the character.

You can't make Pika into Pichu.
Maybe his markings will change, but not a full-fledged change.

Shadow for Sonic is reasonable as they just have to change the colors.

8-Bit Mario would be too different from the original character's look.

Notice how Peach is still Peach, but with Daisy a costume, or Falcon is Falcon w/ Blood Falcon colors.

Just sayin', by the logic you stated, his made more sence to happen.
It would never happen where a character completely changes hight/weight/into_something_completely_different. It would at least have to be the same character, just different look.

I agree, as long as hitboxes and the like are the same. Waluigi could not be an alt for Luigi or Wario because he is physically taller, meaning they would have to change the hitboxes. Dry Bowser as an alt for Bowser makes sense because the change would be purely aesthetical.

The Kongs wouldn't work out.  If anything, DK and Kiddie Kong would be the only match I can think of.

However, they did attempt the color changes with Diddy.  There's a Dixie color at the least and I believe that there is possibly a Lanky color.
