lol, Techno.

meh, I usually let that technicality slide if the person really doesn't know what he or she is talking about.

I usually don't... I don't really like techno at all (no word electronica), but I like electronica that has words.

but there are some songs that are exceptions to that.
techno can have vocals, but they're usually samples.

And it's hard for me to think that someone could not like a kind of music just because there are no vocals.  It kinda says to me that the person only appreciates electronic music as a backup and not as the center of attention, which it should be.
Stuff like electronica/techno will never be mainstream.

Mainly because of the stereotypes about it.
I think I'd like it that way.  It seems as though once a genre becomes mainstream, it starts to suck badly.  Take, for example, rap and hip-hop.  Early 90's stuff wasn't too bad.  Today's stuff is horrid.

I thank God for that.
is that pro- or anti-electronica?  I can't tell  ????

I seem to find that electronic songs are funkier when there's at least a sample of vocals.

just my thoughts though.

Haha. Look, most of what I listen to is "classic rock," and not even I can say that The Rolling Stones are "the best." They're incredibly unrefined, considering their original concept was to be the bad boys to the Beatles good boys.

Besides, Jagger isn't that great of a vocalist.

Typo, maybe?

I didn't know the Rolling Stones as a band were still together, and Daft Punk has been on Earth since what, 90's? Earlier?

The Stones don't have to be together to have an opinion on another band. Nor do they have to be together to be called "the best."

And they are still together by the way, and possibly releasing another new album soon. And of course, they'll likely keep touring for a while too.

And Daft Punk isn't a band. It's a duo. And they formed in 1993.

I'm not the best on my music history, as you can tell.

Yes, you're right that they don't all have to be together as a band to have an opinion, but I didn't know that they were all still alive >_>;

Well, they've had a lot of line up changes, but their most recent line-up is still alive and kicking, yes. Jagger and Richards are the only two that have always been in the band, and they're still very alive.

I see. Well, her loss then, because Rolling Stone is not to be trusted anyway. They're all Nirvanafags over there.

Nor is it that good. Kurt Cobain is in no intercourse ing way deserving of being called the 12th greatest guitarist of all time.
