I'm not so sure about this, it will either go really well or just confirm that Rare has never been the same since they left Nintendo.

Well, as I see it, it will either be as good as Jak's racing moments withing the jack series, just with less ground and more jumping, OR it would be like a mixture of Twisted Metal and Mario. :D Which I'm pretty sure wouldn't be very good.
