Just the thought of a modern platformer on the PC makes me laugh.

2D platformers on PC are possible. Good 3D platformers is less of a reality, though.
Hrm....

*looks*

Sadly enough I have to agree. I laugh when Microsoft release BK3 on PC.

Why'd they have to add a vehicle?  It sounds like a gimmick Nintendo would use.  At least with Rare, we can say that they're "experimenting".
Rare has only made one good game since they left Nintendo.
Perfect Dark?

Or Diddy Kong Racing DS?

Perfect Dark Zero was a letdown.
Next thing you know, BANJO 4: RPG for hire.
My god, an RPG made by Rare?
Better than a racing game with 5% platforming.
Rare: "It's a vehicular platformer."  ;)
EUUUUUUUUUUYECH.

How did this turn into THAT?!

I just don't get it. Maybe it's some kinda message to Nintendo.

That's me. :D ^

Technically, you never see any real gameplay in the first trailer.

And they obviously are trying to tap into the casual audience.

You don't see any vehicles in the first trailer either.

Bold.

I just wish Rare would die so several companies could claim their games.

The ones made before 2001, of course.

I could easily see Nintendo buying the rights to all of Rare's games if it went bankrupt but then going to court over one game that Microsoft refuses to give up.

The only thing that Nintendo would try to buy is BK. After all, Perfect Dark is "Too Violent" and Conker.....you know.

That's me. :D ^

And Goldeneye. Nintendo loves that game, and still considers it their property basically.

There would be nothing to stop them from putting Conker on the VC, they would just have to put a huge logo on the download saying:

"THIS GAME IS RATED M BY THE ESRB. NOT MEANT TO BE PLAYED BY ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18. CONTAINS STRONG LANGUAGE, VIOLENCE, AND SEXUAL CONTENT."

I wish.  Nintendo "wouldn't want to take the chance."  They could easily do an update supporting an upgrade to do that, and they can easily defend themselves because the parental controls should have been on and it was the parent's fault.  The dumbintercourse  parents.  That's what it all comes down to, because they can't take responsibility for their inactions.

That's why Nintendo puts parental controls on their consoles and descriptors on VC games.

So they can't be sued.
