You make that sound like it's a bad thing.  Personally, I think it's wonderful, and I'm a lot more interested in it now.  Warioland 2 I believe it was.. I played that game pretty often for my GameBoy, and if this game is any similar, I'll be pretty darn happy.  Isn't it every gamer's dream to have a 2D game completely enhanced by the abilities of a console?  Aren't those the best?  I know it's just opinion right there, but there's more to gaming than 3D.  Sometimes simpler is better, and whether you decisively love 3D over 2D, a change of pace is good just the same.  3D graphics can sometimes complicate things when they don't need to be and when they'd be better of as 2D.

Also, I think the Warioland games for the GameBoy are a lot more memorable than a GCN game I completely forgot about.
