Why do you use your main (if you have one)?

Sonic: Favorite videogame character
Wolf: Fits my gameplay style
Snake: I just felt like being good with him.

I use Captain Falcon in Brawl because he's got good speed and sweet attacks.  It's easier to hit people with the Falcon Punch thanks to it's reversibility.  The Knee is harder to land on any good players, but it comes up occasionally, especially against larger characters.

With most characters, Brawl feels like a defensive games.  Many characters rely on projectiles while others focus on well-ranged and high-priority attacks to distance themselves from their enemies.  Captain Falcon's speed gives a little more room for quick retaliation and better mindgames.  Although his combo ability is a little lacking, his speed can allow him to outsmart an opponent and get in plenty of hits.

In Melee, my main is Fox, once again because he is both a fast and strong character.  High-priority attacks combined with speed make it easier to get hits in on opponents and valuable attacks like his usmash and shinespike allow him to finish off his opponents.

I don't have a main in Smash 64, mainly because I haven't played that game as much as the other two (even though I have it).  I basically just whatever character I feel like using at the time.

Ike because he's powerful and I always liked using characters that had swords in Melee. Ike is my lucky character even though I have never played the Fire Emblem series. ;D
yeah hes pretty cool and i love using him
though lately ive had a big infatuation with fast moving characters

Ness, because I never had the time to master him in 64, and he looked like he could do a LOT of neat stuff. (Which he can.)
As for my others:

Pichu: I liked Pikachu's moveset, but Pikachu wasn't fast enough for me, and his headbutt wasn't satisfactory. I tried Pichu, and he was faster AND his headbutt worked wonders!

Dr. Mario: He is, in fact, more powerful than Mario, but just as fast. (Just by a LITTLE bit though.)

Mario: LOVED his moveset. Plus, he was fast, strong, and fell fast (enough.). Plus, he has a reflect move. >:D

Link: Loved his projectile moves, loved his grab, loved his aerial attacks. Was a little laggy and slow, but his attacks made up for it.

C. Falcon: Fast AND strong. (At least, in 64.)

Ganon: Same with C. Falcon, except slower, but more powerful. Plus, he didn't go flying as far as the Captain.

Don't forget that he's heavier than Mario.

I didn't know that, actually. :D

Maybe that's why I was WAY greater with the Doc than I was with Mario; just as fast, but more powerful and harder to KO!

And people said they were the exact same thing. :D

The fact he's heavier is part of the reason I stuck with the Doc in Melee instead of Mario.

But now that there's no Doc I'm sad. I have a better Luigi to fill the void, however.

I was good with Luigi origionally in 64 and Meelee.

I was basically good with everybody SOMEWHAT except Zelda, Shiek, Yoshi, Pikachu, DK, Bowser and Mewtwo. :-\ Everybody else I was good with.

HTA!

Toon Link- Im decent with him
Pit- Same as TL
Mario-Luigi-Wario- They fit my style, but im just average with them
MK and Marth- I don't like using them much anymore, but they fit my style too well to drop.

          Main: Ike.
Ike because he is fast and strong.
______________________________
         Secondaries: TL, Wolf, Olimar.
Wolf because I can rack up tons of damage.

Toon Link because of his Down Aerial.

Olimar because of his grabs and aerials.

Pikachu=don't know why, but I used him a lot in Melee, and he was still my best last time I checked
Toon Link=I love Zelda games, but I like small fast characters, so I use Toon Link instead of TP Link
Pokemon Trainer=I'm still shocked at how Charizard made it into Smash as playable--it's like the one big thing that I and lots of other pokemon fans had always wished but never seriously thought possible; the fact that he comes with two smaller, faster fighters doesn't hurt either
Kirby=probably my favorite Nintendo character, and while he may never recover from how much they weakened him in Melee, it's nice to see he got a slight power boost in Brawl

Ridley

Everyone has to agree that Rob is one of the- if not THE most annoying characters to fight against. Also losing is not as bad as losing to Rob.
...Friend codes were probably implemented by the same people who wanted tripping in Brawl...
...It's quite obvious...
