Characters You Would Bring Back in Mario Kart?

Which characters that HAVE BEEN in previous Mario Karts, would you bring back to race in Mario Kart Wii.

This can also include characters that were in the arcade versions (Pac Man, Blinky, etc.)

The Rejects of Mario Kart include:

I would have brought back Donkey Kong Jr, Petey Piranha, Shy Guy, and maybe Paratroopa.

Petey: More important to Mario than Baby Daisy or Dry Bowser. :|
Shy Guy: Awesome generic enemy!
Paratroopa: Koopa is lonely. :(

DK Jr would be nice, but isn't he actually the CURRENT Donkey Kong? I remember seeing somewhere that Donkey Kong from the arcade was Cranky, and DK Jr was acutally the current DK as a kid. I could be wrong though. :P
