I also noticed that it is much easier to powerslide in the arcade version, all you have to do is turn sharply.  :)

I'm not sure. It was so long ago I not sure why.
GP 2 came out in 2008 in America.

The original came out in 2005, so I'm guessing you played the original.

The sequel improved the game a lot.

O sorry I did not know. The next time I'm at an arcade (which is almost never) I look for it.
