Eww...wtf?
I liked the Spyro games that I would play at my friend's house on his PS1.

Then, I finally got a Spyro game for myself on the PS2. Enter the Dragon, I think it was?
I absolutely hated it.
The only good ones are on the PS1.

I tried SOOO hard to like the ones on the GBA, but they just freaking sucked, now that I realize it.

Likewise.  I even tried to give that..  Year of the Dragonfly game a shot.  But it was so glitchy, annoying, and the loading times were just too much for me to stomach.

FORNICATION BABY!

I forgot I owned the one on the GBA too.
I don't know why I got it, but it sucked too, and I also tried to give it a chance.

You mean Enter the Dragon.

That was the first game in the PS2 trilogy.

The reason Insomniac gave Spyro up was because they literally ran out of ideas for the franchise. So they opted for a bipedal anthropomorphic animal, because he could hold weapons.

Well, better they gave it up or that reason than just implement new stupid ideas. Though they probably could have done a better job with the lame ass ideas anyway.

What the hell does Insomniac think about this?  Imma write them a dang letter asking this.  I really wish they'd take their game back.  I don't want to see Spyro butchered anymore.

They just don't care about Spyro anymore. They sold the franchise to work on Ratchet and Clank and, later, Resistance.

There's only so much you can do with Spyro, the character. Seriously. Go play Spyro 1 right now. Around 70% through the story, you'll begin to notice that the game is terribly repetitive, and it almost doesn't do a lot to spice it up. Thankfully, the 2nd and 3rd game give him more abilities and stuff, but the repetition of the franchise is most obvious in the first PS1 game.

Doodle

Same With DK, when RARE left. Now all he has is stupid climbing games and stupid bongo games. >:(
I dunno if DK Jungle Climber was good or not, but DK King of Swing wasn't that great.
YEAH

Flying Chickens

No. No no no.
Oh poop, is this legal? They can't intercourse ing ruin it anymore, but they've found a way. How the hell is that possible?
I need to get on eBay, find that frikkin Spyro set, and salvage my childhood.
God I hate these people now.
I miss Crash Bash as well. :P
Also, what the hell is with Sparx? He looks like the result of a night with a dinosaur and a dragonfly both full of alcohol. Giggity giggity no.
...I'm going to go play Year of the Dragon right now. I'm confused as hell as to how I beat the third boss on a regular basis when I was six. Shit he's tough.

Linkman

I hate the fact that Spyro and Crash are being butchered as well...

at least theres some classic elements of those 2 in Ratchet and Clank, and Jak and Daxter...

SkyMyl

A movie? F*** no.

Anyway, I've never been a fan of Spyro's games. Well, after I played one of his games, I was disgusted. :-\

I don't know why I don't like Ratchet and Clank, it just don't.

I feel sorry for the Crash and Spyro franchises, they tried so hard to get on the same level as Mario and Sonic and look at them...

I've brought this up before.

Giving Sparx a voice was one of the most ridiculous decisions I've seen made in that series (and there have been many).  Changing his design was a bad idea.

It lost the "feel" of the original when Insomniac lost the rights to the games. They have said before they don't have interest in taking the series back, I think, but it would please me very much if they ever re-acquired the rights for the series and attempted to make one good game out of the series again, as some sort of redemption for what happened to it in the interim.
