Mario still has no VA

I know Charles is his VA. But I meant actual "speaking" voice. Sorry if I messed that up. Yea we get the usual "yays" "yahoos" and one liners, but I meant a full blown voice like Sonic, Snake, or Rayman...

Tupin

Yeah, but you don't see Mario speaking as much as Sonic, do you?

Time to go find a working Sonic CD iso...

Sonic Gems Collection for Cube/PS2/Xbox
it also has a bunch of other games...none of which worth playing unless you haven't laughed at Sonic R lately.

The problem is people just want to agree with other people to look cool and be accepted.

so one would say the old sonic games are better just because most other people do.

Besides, what I like the most about any video game is the characters and the older games give no characters any personality what so ever.
I'm just here to state my opinion and discuss gaming with others. I dont care if nobody likes me because I enjoy 3D Sonic games more than 2D :) I dont even care if I make friends, they are supposed to come as your progress...

And yes, having voice acting is more interesting than not, in my opinion. I like to hear what everybody is saying! ;)
Even if they sound terrible?
Terrible is again opinion. If you ask me, terrible would be not being able to understand what they are saying, or having the voices so off that you hear a baby talk like John Madden (unless, of course, if it were for humor)

And alot of kids that play Sonic probably arent that old. Its probably a stretch, but some of them probably cant read and rely on hearing what they are saying. With no text or voice acting, you have to rely on a beginning game summary, which old sonic games never have. Instead then, you have an instruction booklet telling you the situation :P
Again, you have your opinion...but, agian, it's sorta just wrong. Any 4Kids VA is automatically bad until further notice. It's basically law after what happened to One Piece X_X;;
Just a few things:
1. Since when does Sonic need a deep involving storyline VA tells? It doesn't...run around and kill robots. What more do you need?
2. Mario still has no VA...and kids still play that X_X;;
3. Instruction books are for instructions, not stories. Also, again, it's a Sonic game. It's not Final Fantasy or anything. It's not like it needs a big ol storyline to carry the game...
look man, I dont want to talk about this anymore. All that you said is true, and doesn't change anything i said earlier. And only older Sonic games were like that, you actually know why in the 3D ones ;)

Sonic R is good for laughs, and also just for staring at oddly because it is a racing game without cars, except for Amy.

I might get that...

Rayman speaks?

Rayman speaks in Rayman 3.

Nayrman

TH: Aww...I have nothing to talk about now X_X;;
I know why in the 3D ones...but that doens't mean it's good. I know why they made two more Matrix movies but that didn't make htem good (just an example...)

Tuppy: Yes, Rayman has a voice in Rayman2 and Rayman3.
Funny how Amy is always in last too regardless. I also like how Super Sonic is the cheapest character in racing game history. Oddly enough this is the LAST game where you could play as Super Sonic in normal gameplay.

Makes you wonder how it would fare to have a Sonic racing game come out now for next gen Consoles. You gotta remember that Sonic doesnt need a car to race, but it can be done right. Sonic R was a terrible try ;) and Sonic Drift was just funny. Of course, my opinion may differ from others, for i used to enjoy Sonic R! :)

I enjoyed it for it's laughable badness. Like those crappy horror films. You don't watch them cuz they're good but cuz they'r laughably bad.
Drift1/Drift2: Sonic in cars = NO
Sonic R: Good idea, HORRIBLE execution. And why are all the secret characters clones?
Sonic Riders: Meh. They ruined the second game. All they had to do was fix the turning and make the trick system better and it'd have been FINE but they found a way to muck it up...

If they make a Sonic Riders 3, then it should have everything that was good in both of them (very little in the second) and supress it while adding more vehicles and race tracks + Online multiplayer

I think it would be cool if they made another On-Foot racing game and did it right

I'm in agreement here. Ryan Drummond and the rest of the SA2 VA's were perfect fits, while a pile of dog poop could do better than Griffith.
And yeah, personally all I need is: "Dr. Robotnik is taking over the world by turning animals into robots! Stop him!" Although throwing a new co-villain into the mix works, if said villain is not overused, and is well thought out. (Chaos & Shadow)

Tupin

Sonic should be in Mario Kart, but instead of being able to choose karts, you should be able to choose speed shoes.

It's a shame, because Sonic R is the best original Sonic game on the Saturn. Not like there's much of a choice, though.

It was the only origional Sonic game on the Saturn. Many ppl attribute the Saturn's failure to this.
I think Sega should try again. They've proven they CAN make racing games (F-Zero GX, Sonic Riders was good).
Anyone but the 4kids VA's. Not much of a choice with Robotnik tho...his VA from SA2 died.

Im not gonna talk about this, but im saying that youre right. It was enough, but having a robust story is way better IMO. It tells you what happens every step of the way. And i couldnt care less about changing Sonic back to Drummond, they both sound ok to me imo.

Tupin

Sonic isn't supposed to be about complex stories, it's supposed to be about running fast.

If you want a robust story, play an RPG. They will give you a better story than any Sonic game ever will, believe me.
