*In a desperate attempt to get some baseball discussion*
Recently saw a stat that one pitcher's (forgot who) got two straight loses (yes, a pitcher gets tossed with the wins and losses) but his team scored ZERO runs in his starts. I just wanna know why that is. If your team scores ZERO runs for you, why should you get the loss if you had NO chance of getting the win? Just a perplexing question I had....

The question doesn't even make sense.
U know how pitchers get losses correct? I just wish to know why a pitcher should get stuck with a loss if their team scores no runs for them. I mean, how can they get a win if their team scores no runs? Therefore why should you get a loss if you are given no opportunity to win?

I forgot, but I remember my dad telling me it had something to do with the closing pitcher once. cus I wondered that too.

Because it's still a loss and it has to be blamed on one person, and one person always; welcome to america.

Also, it sort of is the pitchers fault for throwing a ball the batter could hit.

Well then technically would it not be unfair not to count the winning pitcher's game as a win? Maybe the winning pitcher, pitched such a great game that the other team couldn't hit the ball and ended up winning the game.

I'm not sure if that made any sense at all.
