All right, so Yesterday I was going to get a drink from the kitchen, and I stopped by the sink. I saw that there were ants crawling all over it with no reason. I had over a thousand to kill because of this, and I spent half an hour doing so. (No, literally one thousand.) And it just so happens that their home is next to the sink, in a windowsill.

I came back to the sink fifteen minutes ago to get a drink, again, and saw ants all over it...again. There weren't as many (Not nearly as many.), thank God. I'll bet I'm going to come back later and find more ants in the sink.

And to allow this thread to have a meaning, have bugs ever invaded your home?

The Seventh

Not in my house.  The closest it's gotten to that is when there was 3 spots on the driveway due to a ton of ants.

But, my dad once lived in an apartment that had a cockroach infestation.  One time, there was a pile of them in the middle of the floor when he dropped some food, so he found an obligation to take bug killer and got to kill them all.  But, usually when there's one, there's a hundred more, so there had to be several thousand who were lucky and managed to live.  BTW, that's before he married my mom and then only reason he was there (I do believe it was in Pennsylvania) was he was in the navy then and was stationed there.  And since he didn't get the best pay, he had to get that apartment (which cost the same as a good apartment here.).

Sorry for the long, drought out story.

Sometimes there are these huge locust things in my shed. They are so large that you actually here a *thump* when they jump and land.

Java

Yeah. I've had a termite infestation.
We had to tent our house and everything.
When we went to renovate our kitchen, it turns out that they had chewed through the wooden beams behind the wall.

I'm so glad it's over. :)

Most ants won't cross cinnamon. Use this to your advantage.

A little bit. But we always get some ants inside during the summer. Yesterday, my arm was itchy, so I went to scratch, but there was an ant there. I was like "WHOA!" and flicked it off. :P
YEAH

Flying Chickens

We had a huge ass jumping spider in our house at one point...

And also, not in my house, but frikkin creepy.
When I was little, my family went on a vacation to the maritimes, or whatever it's called. On our trip at one point, we stayed in this bed and breakfast place, and had a room in the basement. My dad, who usually stays up quite late reading, was going to sleep and as soon as he turned off the light, he heard this rustling sound. He turned it back on, and he saw these centipedes running away on the wall. Then he looked around and there were insects literally everywhere. They wouldn't go in the light, though. He basically stayed up all night, with every light in the room on, and killed bugs. I'm glad I was sleeping, I'm scared as hell of insects.

In one of my old houses, there was an invasion of these beetles with red V's on their backs.  They were everywhere.

Just giant spiders....

There was a spider that was so big we just used the vacuum hose to suck it up so we wouldn't have to get near it....like 3 minutes later it climbed back out...so we sucked it back up and it came back out, then we just sucked it up and let the vacuum run for like 5 minutes...

we had an invasion of beetles like that as well.  They were everywhere, but there weren't that many of them (in otherwords, they were spread out).  Me and a friend went around picking them up and sticking them in a toilet one day... we found 26 in a day iirc. :P

but that was in the old house.  here we just get millipedes (small ones) every once in a while.
