Thoughts on Third Parties?

What are your thoughts on them?

If any of you recall, I was at NSider, and still, to this today, a Nintendo Purist when it comes to Smash. I hate third parties in a game like this...but what are YOUR thoughts?

A fun addition but hardly worthwhile for hardcore SSB players.

I think 3rd parties are fine as long as they keep them they way they are in Brawl. I think they still represented the 3rd parties while still making Brawl feel like a Nintendo game. I think 3rd parties only deserve one stage and one AT at most, which is just what Brawl did.

I lost twelve thousand dollars when Sonic was revealed to be in Brawl.
I was :O :| ;D ???? when Snake was announced.


Honestly, for me it depends on the characters themselves.

Me with third parties? I don't really mind. It's a good way of expansion in characters. Brawl's were ok, 2 fit well (I like playing as sonic for lulz but I can't use snake well D; ) As for future smash games; I wonder what third parties they'll do next, but I'm not expecting a lot due to copyrights. *Hopes they get geno's copyright for smash 4 but doubts it*

Well, since two of my three mains are third party I think you know my stance.
As long as they aren't absurd characters I think they're a wonderful idea.
Example good: Bomberman, Sonic, Megaman, Snake...guys who are IMPORTANT, have good games, and genuinely appear on Nintendo
Example bad: Cloud, Sora, Crash... Guys who do almost nothing for Nintendo or are completely overhyped beyond belief (CLOUD!)

Snake didn't do much for Nintendo except to crappy remakes, but I guess it makes up for it by Konami being with Nintendo for a while.

I didn't mind that they were in the game. I actually like them.

I still think Mega Man should have gotten in...

I don't really care that much. I think Sonic and Snake were good choices. Don't really like to use any of them though. :P

for instance sonic and tails
i say no to snake
but i also think characters like rayman and megaman have ok shots
