What doesn't, you ask?  Releasing metroids to kill space pirates in Metroid Prime.  I don't know why, but it's just so much fun.

One time I had one try to jump onto the platform I was on and the pirate missed and fell into the Phazon.

Also, my friend released the metroids in the quarantine 1 and there was a Metroid and Space Pirate standoff.  He was literally right next to them, and they didn't take note of him.  Until he used a super Missile on the Metroid and the pirate looked at him like, "What the h***?" and then he killed the pirate as well.

Ah, good times, good times.
