360 or PS3? PS3 won out.

This weekend I ended up finding myself a thousand dollars richer and decided I was due to get either a PS3 or Xbox 360.  However I can't settle on which I want to get, since there's things I like about both systems as well as games I want for both.  So NSF, try and sway me one way or the other.

I suggest the 360, as of now. It has better titles (or, more in general), among other things. I don't have numerous, solid, reasons, but I just find the 360 more enjoyable than the PS3.

PS3 has free online, can get an 80 gig PS3, MGS4 (Best game ever) and many other things...

360 has, good online, some good FPS's, and is cheaper....

I'd say the PS3.

The better games out for 360 are out for the PS3, too.

You're saving around 400$ on a Blu-Ray player.

Online is free, and better in general.

No need to invest in silly things like charge & play kits.

That's all I've got off the top of my head. I'm sure there's more, but the argument could go either way.

Oh no, I can certainly afford both right now, however I'm not going to blow all my money on them.  I only want one, the rest of my money will be going towards college supplies, like textbooks and whatnot.

What kind of games you like will probably play a bigger part in what system you get. If you're an RPG buff like me, then PS3 is definitely the way to go. FPS would obviously be the 360. Both have a fair amount of adventures and racers, and the best fighters are on both systems. Online, price, etc... have already been discussed. It would be harder to find a 80 GB PS3, I must add, than the 360 equivalent. Backwards compatibility is sort of incomplete for the PS3, and there's an additional cost for it on the 360.

Honestly, the best way to decide is to go through the list of current and future releases for each system. The games are what matter, in the end.

Well, it really depends. For all the nay-sayers PS3 online works just fine...it's just not as user friendly as XBL is, but when compared to a certain white brick it's fantastic.
Basically it comes down to waht you want. If you're a FPS/realistic racer frat boy then get the 360. Everything else get the PS3, better exclusives IMO (it actually HAS exclusives, lol)

It depends. You can get most 360 games on the PS3. Plus, you have Metal Gear Solid 4 and LittleBigPlanet.

I personally find the 360 to be an overall better system if not the best system out there.


but then again I'm bias against the Ps3 :P
