How do I get rid of the annoying ass HP logo that's on the taskbar, along with the Yahoo! Search bar thing on the taskbar?  Thanks, LightningSword.  Also, I believe they spelled "balloon" wrong in the General Settings.  :|

Unless, there's a term for the pop-up messages with an intentional missing "l".  If there was, I never got that memo.

Right click on the toolbar, and select Yahoo! Toolbar. It should go away. Worked for me.
Holy crap all my sigs were always poop. Best leave this space alone.

Heh.  Thanks.  I guess I didn't realize that the HP Advisor and the Yahoo! Toolbar were linked :P

No problem. In fact, I didn't bother looking around until you mentioned it. I just pressed random buttons and tried different things until it went away. I'm used to it being there, though, so I won't be getting rid of it any time soon.

I use Windows Media Player, and when it minimizes, it turns into that little sidebar-block on the taskbar.  Whenever I try to maximize it again, I usually end up clicking that HP square D:  Also, I didn't really like the idea of that Yahoo! search thing taking up space, as IE7 would probably be open anyway, so I'd just go to Google.

Yeah, and I'm using IE7 because my laptop somehow only has about 63% of it's space free, with less than two gigs of music on it, mimimal pictures (19.4 MB), Adobe Premiere Elements, Photoshop, AIM6, the Gif animator I uploaded to the downloads section, GameMaker7, and a GameMaker game, along with the modify file for the newer version of that game.  I don't want Firefox taking up room when I can use IE7.

Geeze, how small is your hard drive?

Local Disk (C:) 103 GB :-\

I bet my downstairs desktop has more memory than this, and I think it's a 2001 Compaq Presario D:  I'm trying to get my parents to buy me an external hard drive.

What the hell? Vista Itself shouldn't use more than 20GB; maybe you have something else on the drive using space.

Anyway, 65% of 103 (Which is a odd number for a hard drive) is still a lot, i wouldn't worry about FireFox using up space.

The only thing that gets me mad with Firefox is that each time I shut the computer down the wrong way, it erases all of my favorites and temporary files.  My downstair computer is intercourse ed up, it either shuts down like it should, or I hear the shut down click and the screen is still saying "shutting down..." and I still hear the computer fan.  Also, when I upgrade to the next one, it wants to restart Firefox and the same stuff is gone.  Is there a way to fix that? (I'd assume the latter is normal, but it's bit wierd that it even resets my homepage)

If you turn off Firefox before that happens it shouldn't do that regardless. As for the shutdown problem, i got that a few times too, never figured out why, most likely a background process not closing.

Opera never gives me problems :3

Oh God, HP advisor. Worst bundled software I've had to deal with on my mom's computer. I uninstalled it and the Yahoo toolbar the first day she got it.

Ok, that's it.

I have an HP computer too, and I am uninstalling Advisor, it's so annoying.
