Recording with a VCR should work.....going backwards in technology to get around new technology?

You can get a pretty good one at Best Buy for like $10.

More than likely, but that means we'd have to go scavenge for blank tapes.

Most stores still sell them, as it is still the number one recording medium for TV in America and Australia.

Heh, didn't know that.

I'll tell my mom/dad (seeing as he's home for a couple days) that.

I find it pretty amazing that VHS is still the number one media for recordings, despite the fact that DVD recorders are so cheap, along with blank DVDs.

It's not like a single blank DVD costs $25 like a blank Blu-Ray disc. Yes, I have seen them being sold, even though I know of no Blu-Ray recorders available to the public.

Blank DVDs aren't extremely cheap, but not less than blank tapes.

I'm pretty sure you could find Blu-Ray recorders on the Internet somewhere.

I know Alienware has PCs with Blu-Ray drives built in, and I've also seen a few disc drives that can read/record Blu-Ray, but they are like $500.

But it will be a few years before even a company like COBY will be able to make one.
