I'm not sure what to think.

I agree completely with this article. I understand people like Nintendo are trying to cater to a different market. That's fine since they're trying to expand the industry, but it really is going to far. When developers who make "Bejeweled" and other mini-game/licensed crap/half-assed efforts beat good origional games (coughBIOSHOCKcoughPSYCHONAUTScoughOKAMIcough) it's frankly sickening.
Like I've said before this is nothing short of horrible corporate greed which is quickly becoming the quality of Hollywood greed and television greed. It's getting really pathetic too, I mean, I know soccermoms and their idiot kids would buy anything but jeez quit buying so darn much of it!

Like I said, casual games aren't ruining the industry. Bad games and the people who buy them are. Even if bad and casual occasionally walk hand in hand because they can take advantage of the lack of gaming knowledge.

That said, some companies need to quit taking advantage of people. It will be so awesome when Ubisoft goes bankrupt, they are single-handedly keeping the industry from being taken seriously.

Ubisoft and EA are doing that...I'm not COMPLETELY blaming Ubisoft (at least hteir canada division is trying with Beyond GOod and Evil (despite the downsizing) and Rayman Rabbids is actually fun).
It's still casual games ruining the industry because the industry thinks it'll make them cheap money

But there are good casual games. I know you hate Wii Play, but I think it's pretty good for what it is. And games like Peggle are so fun you just have to like them.

Wii Play is the biggest piece of garbage I have EVER seen. It's just a cheap controller. Hell, it should be "$40 controller with free game!" insteand of game with free controller!

Maybe it's not casual games ruining the industry, instead, it's bad games in general and the companies who make them.
Wait, you just figured this out?
