Metroid Dread: How it sould be made

As you all probably know, Metroid Dread is a rumored Metroid title for the DS. I am just curious on how you all think it should be made! Sidescroller, FPS, MMORPG?! Tell what you think!

Personally, I would love to see a 3rd person shooter! I think it would be great if done right! No matter, how it turns out IF it does, I will probably buy it!

A normal non-Prime metroid game, except better.
I would hope they would keep it touch-screen free, but if it is done right I guess I wouldn't mind.
It should also look better than the GBA ones... I wish we could have a 2D Metroid on Wii with amazing graphics like the new Wario game :P

So yeah, a 2D Sidescroller.

2-D, like Super Metroid and Metroid. Revamped graphics, different game, it would be sick.

Make it a 2-D sidescroller, potentially with added 3-D effects. I'd also love to see it continue off Metroid Fusion. I mean, seriously, what's gonna happen to Samus next? DON'T LEAVE ME HANGING ON A THREAD!

That is, if it didn't die like 3 years ago. Sad, I know. I hope someone revives the project...

if it was close to completion, it would have leaked, or we would have heard at E3.
