Upon reading this thread I decided to donate for the first time.  I also come here almost daily and I love reading every new thread in a fair amount of the boards and try to visit most boards.  This place is my home and I'm not sure where I'd be without it.  Anywhere else and I'd probably be a lot less active.

Oldsider was basically my home on the Internet starting in the summer of 2005 when I stopped posting just every so often and became a regular.  When it closed, I went into a panic.  Events over the next few days led me to NSF, which is now NSFCD.  In that case, then, NSFCD is what Oldsider was to me when it still existed: my home.  Like, if you took this site down, I'd probably hunt everybody I know here down and find out if a successor forum were made, and if it weren't, I'd make it.  I'm here so much because I regard this place as my base station...heck, you can even reach me faster here than by email.
