The Seventh

Either that, or trees seem to hate me.

Yesterday, we voluntarily trimmed our magnolia (odd for living in the state of Iowa, as in having a Magnolia), and cleaned our gutter.  No problem, right?  Well, then me and my dad both decide to trim our next door neighbors tree in their front yard, which quite literally looked like a giant, leafy, green mushroom with how low the branches are.  The neighbor was apprecaitive, and I felt good about it.  So, I thought I was done with trees for a while...  but Mother Nature decides I'm wrong, and sends in a severe storm with winds in the 60-80 MPH range.  In fact, tornadoes were spawning here and there, and since my father heard sirens in the distance at like 3:30 in the morning, we went to the main floor to wait to hear if ours will ever go off.  It didn't, and I was so pooped out that I slept on the couch.  Then, this morning, the destruction the winds caused came to realization in the morning.  The next door neighbors giant tree decided that it didn't want to hold onto those branches any longer, and dropped them in their yard and right onto a power line (thankfully it didn't cut it) which then fell RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DRIVE WAY.

This is why I think trees hate me.

We were also joking about that this morning, too.

It also makes me wonder if there might have been another tree that it's top half split from it's bottom half during a storm like this last year.

Lol, I guess they don't like you. :P
None of the trees in my yard have fallen from the winds before. They're pretty sturdy. But a couple years ago in bed I saw lightning and heard this big crack. Next day, I go outside, this tree is just fried on the top! And the other half smashes one of my mom's decoration things.
YEAH

Trees don't hate you, silly. (;^_^)
But Mother Nature despises you. (D:)

You shouldn't have trimmed the tree.
You just only made it angrier. ::)

I've had plenty of experience with trees falling by my house, luckily none of them have hit my house.
I've had about 4 trees fall due to hurricanes.

I had this one big tree that I loved because it brought shade to half the yard. Well having gone through enough hurricanes, it finally decided to fall. That was such a pain to clean up. We also had 3 other palm trees fall down for the same reasons.
