What was your first Brawl match like?

I still remember mine and in case I forget I have it saved. ;D

I picked Mario (for nostalgia) and decided to go against the first three characters on the screen: Donkey Kong, Link, and Samus. I picked a timed 2:00 match, so I wouldn't go over the limit to save my match. I put items on Medium (I think) and chose Battlefield. I remember how different Brawl felt from Melee, which wasn't too bad. The music sounded great and the sound effects, sounded different yet nice. It was fun to pick up and use all the new items that I had seen from the Brawl updates. In the end, I won, as I didn't put the CPU's on a high difficulty.

What was your first experience like?

I was playing with my friend. I was Olimar and we were playing on Distant Planet... with wii remotes :O

It made me realize that Smash Bros is meant to be played with a Gamecube controller.

I was at a gamestore for a guitarhero tournament, and my mom dropped by and gave me Brawl

I finished the tournament *won FTW* and me and magnum and 2 miscallanious people played, I chose Link of course, than meta knight who I seemed to be best with.

My first matches were played just to unlock Ness, Marth, and Snake. I don't remember anything else about them.

Lessee....I was sworn on using the Nunchuk at the moment, and used that, playing as Kirby (Blue), my brother played as Link (Red), and my other brother was playing as Bowser (...I think.), in Final Destination with a Level One Pink YoshiPunching Bag, all items (Minus recovery) on. We continued to wonder, "Why the hell am I TRIPPING!?" and "How did I get stunned!?", but in the end, my brother (Link.) won. It was then I realized how nerfed Kirby was. :( Then a few matches later, I moved to my Gamecube controller.

I also remember our reactions after hearing Ike. "You'll get no sympathy from me." got a reply of "Badass!"

  I chose a newcomer,Ike,on battle field,against mario,bowser and Mk L.v. 9.I had only the new Items(and the pokeball)on high.
I can remeber myself yelling "OH CRAP" evertime something good happend.
Thats how I started to main Ike.

My first match, I had chosen Meta-Knight.  My friend was over, so he chose Kirby.

It was a really weird match for me because half the time I didn't know what I was doing with MK, but since my friend has used Kirby in the previous games, he played as if he was a pro.  The only thing I kept on doing was tornado and drill, nothing else.  Also, we set the match to 10 minutes, so it was a very long match.


I still have it saved.  ;D

My first match was at the GameStop tourney. I was playing as Ike, and my opponent was Samus. I believe I scored three KOs, and he only got one. I didn't win the entire tourney, but it was still a fun experience. ^__^

My first match was the midnight tourney.  I won with Pikachu and was really excited, then they gave me a wrestling trophy and I was like "WTH?!"

my first match: Midnight tourney. I was Pokemon Trainer (ugh..a newbie I never played as).
Of course I go against the ONE girl in the entire place...and she gets Sheik...her main (double ugh).
The small custom stage that comes with the game. SOMEHOW I manage to get to sudden death and I maange to dash attack her and send her flying. Managed to avoid getting some serious ragging X_X;;

I played against my friend, I used Samus and he used Zelda. It was on Final Destination. I lost :(
