From my mom's old laptop hard drive.  Would it be worth it to move a 6 gig folder of pictures (no porn) to my desktop (about 2+ hours), fragment the drive, then move the folder back? (Some dll's from Adobe just won't leave)

This is because XP intercourse ed me over.  First, it wouldn't shut down properly (freezes after the click from the CPU itself, sometimes if shut off, it will say it didn't shut down properly), now Windows Movie Maker won't work (Adobe Elements won't install due to graphic requirements, remember, this computer's from about 2001, a Compaq Presario).

Yes it would be, or just burn the Pics to a CD and don't bother putting them back.

If the pictures are important to you or her, yes.

Are you fragmenting, as in erasing the hard drive, or defragmenting?
