What is the difference between Sonic's down special and side special.....I still don't know :x

HTA!

Side B stops you while falling...

I really don't know. D:

Gamree

Side B can be charged up and send you spinning off faster, but gives you that little hop after you release it.  Down B doesn't have to be charged up and can be released sooner than the side B, plus no little hop to slow you down, but it makes you go slower and it's a darn annoying move to pull off for some reason in the middle of battle.

Other than that, Nintendo didn't really get too creative with him and just rushed him into the game.  Yeah, don't really have a clue, just throwing wild ideas out there. O_o

QingXin

Spin Dash (Smash B) gains distance as you charge it up.
Spin Charge (Down B) gains speed as you charge it up.

Spin Dash has a hop at the beginning.
Spin Charge has no hop.

Spin Dash's initial charge up moves Sonic back a little.
Spin Charge doesn't move Sonic back during charge.

Spin Dash is useful for quick recoveries.
Spin Charge isn't as useful for this purpose.

So... Yeah.

Are you serious? I do it all the time. It really catches your opponent off guard. Ask anyone I've played as Sonic against... Use his speed to your advantage. Many people seem to miss that concept of Sonic.

Which is what is intriguing....how do you forget about speed in a character that is known for it :x

As we are, these minute differences don't seem that noticeable, even in play, any particular strategy to them?

Smash B is usually used for the Tower combo Sonic uses.

And it's relatively decent recovery if you can pull off the jump from the peak of the little hop from the dash. Gets some cheap distance

I hate Nintendo for doing something as lazy and/or stupid as this; I hope that if Sonic's in the next Smash they'll actually give him a fourth special move instead of giving him what is basically the same move twice.

Unless SEGA gets bought by Sony or Microsoft (or make systems again), I don't see why he wouldn't be in Smash4... X_X:;

Well, if he reappeared, I think you'd expect him to be in his MGS4 apparel. I'd like to see that, but maybe Snake was just a one-time thing :|

I think this depends on whether Sakurai does it again. After all, Snake only got in because Kojima and Sakurai are great pals. Without Sakurai Konami really has no reason to allow it. I still give it a chance, but not as good as Sonic's of returning, merely because Konami doesn't particularly care for Nintnedo like Sega does (pretty much Castlevania is the only thing they blatantly do for Nintendo for the DS)

Snake, next to Ness, is my best character.

I darn well hope that he's in Smash 4 ;-;
