Well, I didn't really BUY it, but I got Earthbound Zero (A.K.A. Mother) for my NES emulator.

Wouldn't it make more sense to say Mother (aka Earthbound Zero), considering that "Earthbound Zero" isn't the real title, and is just some ridiculous thing that fans made up?
Because it's really Earthbound (the American version of Mother 1), but it was never released.

So NOA took Mother 2 and named it what they were going to name Mother 1.

When people found the prototype, they called it EarthBound Zero because it came before EarthBound.

Oh, and the last legacy game I played was Hogan's Alley.

...but it's still called Mother, considering it has no true English release, thus it would make more sense to say "Mother (aka Earthbound Zero)."

Your little tidbit of facts didn't really change anything, considering that's not even relevant to the point I was making.
If you REALLY want to be picky, the prototype was called Earth Bound. (two words)

But yeah, Mother or MOTHER makes more sense.

And technically, I'm not playing Mother, I'm playing Earthbound zero,  just like how somebody playing EarthBound isn't playing Mother 2, kinda. ;D

"Earthbound Zero" is not a real title of the game in any region, in any form. So no. If you wanted to be picky and say you were playing "Earth Bound" because of the technicality, then sure. But "Earthbound Zero" is just something some guy in his mom's basement came up with.

It'd be Magaman for VC.  Fun, yet difficult.

Uh...I think Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, 5 years ago.
Or Super Metroid on VC a few months ago.
