The Olympics are set to start tonight on 8/08/2008.

In fact I believe it already started (at least on the East Coast.)

Will you be watching?

Tupin

I was just going to make this same thread.  :-\

Yeah, I'll be watching.

They took down the Opening Ceremonies on Youtube already, though.  :(

I was about to ask how they got it but it makes sense.

I can't wait.
It's supposed to be the biggest Opening Ceremony ever.

There's something about the Olympics that get me excited.
It's probably the whole thing about national pride and the whole world coming together for one cause.

Doodle

It depends what they're doing. If it seems interesting, I'll watch.
YEAH

ThePowerOfOne

Never seen the Olympics, probably never will.

started around 10 minutes ago.  Cool drummers.

I'd say this is a must-watch.

Yes, the drummers were cool. I wonder what they will do with all those drums after this...

The Olympics are boring as all hell IMO. The only thing people care about is medal counts, and most of the events are the same darn thing in each category.

I still want to know why things like Skateboarding and the like aren't in the Olympics...those take a hell of a lot more athleticism than many of the track events X_X;;

You're definitely missing a lot.

I beg to differ. Much training and conditioning for the running those guys do. And I'm glad the Olympics isn't just one giant X-Games, then I'd be poopting on someone's face because the X-Games are ridiculously overrated and lame. You skaters already have an event for your "sport", why do you want to take over the real athletes? You underestimate some of the athleticism of Olympic sports. And I can see skateboarders down the intercourse ing street, I can't see amazing people in some of these Olympic sports just anywhere and only get to see it on these occasions.

Wasn't Ping-Pong in the Olympics at one time?

fyi, if you're not on the West Coast and you didn't watch the opening ceremony show, you missed epicness.

Breezy

No, but I'll probably get info on it via my friends and family. The only Olympics that I'll actually watch are the Winter Olympics.
