It's like Rez in eight-bit.

Before Rez and Electroplankton, there was an obscure Famicom Disk System game called Otocky that was actually the first game made by the guy who made Electroplankton. It's a mix of a shooter and a music game, and is actually pretty awesome. Some of the songs you can create are pretty sweet.

Here's some footage:

This game and Super Mario Bros. 2 will make importing an AV Famicom and a Disk System worthwhile.  :)

Plus, it's actually easier to find and cheaper than Rez or Electroplankton.

That's amazing.

I'm guessing NFES doesn't support Famicom Disk System games...

Nope, you need the Disk System BIOS for it to run.

Most emulators support it, though.

Of course, I'm just going to buy it on an import site as soon as they get it in.

Well, I put in a request for it at an import site because no one has it.  :-\

Hey, I just found out this is like one of only like five or six FDS games that use the FM Synthesis chip, which is why the sound is so good.  =D

Doodle

Looks different. It's probably a decent game, but I don't think I'd ever play it.

Lotos

Time to find the ROM.  It looks fun!  HOPEFULLY we might see it on the VC (doubt it though).

Most likely in Japan. They put the superior version of Zelda II and Metroid on their VC because it had better sound.
