My area is above the area N.O. is...and even THOUGH I live between a Swamp and the Mississippi we just don't flood... We just get bad wind/rain if anything, but if we Have to evacuate thats gonna suck........ Again!

Hurricane Gustavo is passing over Haiti now as a Category 1, but when it goes over the Gulf of Mexico, it's going to gain strength and will probably be a Category 3 (considered a major hurricane), and can hit anywhere from Texas to Florida, but it's not likely at all to hit Florida.
