Well, my dad went to an overseas prison for smuggling drugs when I was 6, broke contact with me later because he didn't feel like dealing with my mom (we never spoke from when I was 12 to when I was 18), and when he finally did speak to me again, forced me to admit that I was working for Satan and spent all his time trying to force me into Christianity whilst reminding me that all the rest of my family that I loved was going to Hell.

But I still don't hate him. <3

It is a quite easy, it all depends on if you have good enough self control not to talk to him or acknowledge his presence.

Reverse cytology ? It always worked for me. Tell him yeah his right and everytime he tells you something but his totally wrong tell him his right anyway. Don't tell him his wrong about the racism because one of these days those people will probably teach him a lesson. No your not wrong for hating your father most these days are poop holes. If I ever see my dad I'm going to give him some money and tell him to intercourse  off ;) Then if he dosnt intercourse  off Ill punch him in the face. Remember just don't be like him to your kids.
I always tell my stepdad is right even when his wrong but his not a bad person and I love him but hey he dosnt get mad at me anymore :D

You should try being even more prepotent than he is; of course, this would require balls, but I think you--or anyone for that matter--can pull it off.  Just be as annoying as he is, but try contradicting him everytime he says something ignorant.  I think you'll enjoy this exercise; but you must try to be consistent if not it won't work as well.
