The Sega Vision.

While it's supposed to be more of a multimedia device than anything else, it still will be able to play flash games. It also has an MP4 player and a built in TV tuner and camera.

Too bad it's not real games, I think Sega would do great with a new handheld.

I hope they release this on September 9th, 2009.

I might buy it if it comes to the USA.

Heh, I wish they re-entered the market, it seems like they could do well, especially with the fact many of their series have been revived by Ninty. Oh well, this seems plausible.

Sega simply cannot make another console, but this might be their way to test the waters before releasing a handheld.

This is true, Sega even says they are test marketing it in the West, which makes an American release more likely.

I think by flash games it means an iPhone type store where people and companies make games for it.

This is clearly a test before trying something else.
I am certainly intruiged however, since SEGA has tended to have good technology in their actual hardware, so I wonder how this will end up.
SEGA is certainly thinking about hardware again, so the probability that this is a test is really good.

They usually keep stuff like this in Japan because they also are a toy company there, but since it's already being test marketed in Europe, I think they are testing the waters to see if Western gamers and more so Western retailers still trust Sega as a hardware manufacturer.

Sega says there are already test units in London arcades.
