im ordering one of the 3 tomorow, so i need someone to help me decide. personally, i like the 18" coz its intercourse ing huge, but i need a honest opinion on overall performance and gaming

Jono2

whats the main difference between one and two?  the third one's not worth it from a gaming perspective (worse graphics card for the same amount of money)

go with #2.  in comparison with #1, you get a stronger processor, traded for a smaller screen and battery.  however, laptop batteries always suck anyways, and generally, unless you're gaming off of your battery (which is stupid anyways) then your battery will last long enough for your classes anyways.

my battery (which is the same as the one in #2) lasts for... 2, maybe 3 hours on high performance just running simple applications (the internet, MS word).  on games on high performance (which i don't do because it saps my battery life) it lasts an hour.  on games on power saver it lasts... twoish hours, i think.  on power saver it lasts 5+ hours, i think (i havent stretched it).

you dont need a huge screen unless you're watching movies anyways, and the bigger the screen, the bigger the laptop, the chunkier it is to carry around.

get some others' opinions first, but I'd say go #2.

also, "lol, Vista" in response to Lotos.  I've been having some issues with Vista, but its nothing that I can't ignore (like my computer refusing to shut down unless I manually shut it down by holding down the power button).

lol nice pic of weatherman :D

kay so now its between the 16" and the 18"

difference:

18" has 2.53 dual core but with 18.4" diagonal High Definition HP Ultra BrightView Infinity Display (1920x1080p) and 8-cell batt.

16" has 2.80 dual core but with 16.0" diagonal High Definition HP Ultra BrightView Infinity Display (1366x768) and 6-cell batt.

Silverhawk79

Go for the 16". The 18" screen will make the computer heavier, and the battery won't last nearly as long.

Riosan

For gaming, they all suck. They use integrated graphics, which means the card has almost no power for itself, and it sucks in performance to normal cards.

If you're planning on serious gaming, get a desktop, and something else.

Ahaha.
HAHAHAHAHA.
He said 'gaming', not 'being pretentious'. Besides, he'd probably be paying $3000 for a Mac.

None of the above. The Hard drives blow, I have a better Hard drive, and I use a $500 Laptop!

Yeah, those hard drives are smaller than my $950 laptop, and those laptops cost twice as much. They come with half the RAM as well. I paid around $979 or so for 4GB of RAM and a 320GB HDD.
Dimentio's gonna get ripped off. :3

The Seventh

Uh, I don't understand half of this poop, but it looks like either the second or third one.

maybe the second one.

Although, if it's a laptop, DON'T GET IT.  Get a desktop instead.  Oh, and make sure it has boatloads of memory.  And the latest graphics card.  I can't help you anymore.
