In a grant by a well-known a respected video game publisher/designer to create your dream game, what would it be? Include spectacular details, including, but not limited to, genre, story, themes, motif, sound, actors, number of characters, etc.

Just curious.

ThePowerOfOne

I wouldn't want to make a video game. Not my kind of thing...

I would probably just steal the money, move to New York or Tokyo and be set for life ;D

Kilroy

Make an 8-bit game for the PS3.

Think about it. I'm talking the amount of sprites that Super Mario Brothers had. If you could beat SMB in 13 minutes, 8 worlds, 4 levels a world, how many worlds and levels could you have in 60 gigs?

It'd be like an old-school game, too. Little-to-no storyline given in-game. Just run around and go crazy.

You're using that wrong.

SMB Was most likley less than 1MB total? With 60GB....... those better be some high quality sprites.

He's saying there would be like 1000 or so levels with SMB1 quality graphics.

I probably would just remake some old games.

Doodle

Mario Bros. Arcade remake.
With an online battle mode.

I would so buy that. :)

I kind of have a Mario Bros. Arcade engine in Game Maker right now. It's got basic stuff. Like physics, blocks that move when hit, pow blocks, and spikeys.
YEAH

I would kill Doodleboy to erase evidence of the creation of his game, and then make Super Wario Bros for wii in 3-D or a 3-D Classic Metroid Zero-Mission game for wii. It could be in a classic duo pack.

If I have to pick a genre it would be a Final-Fantasy-type RPG.  I don't have anything special to say about the story except that it wouldn't be the most original story; it would probably be centered around a certain group of  awesome looking kids who have to save the world from something awesome like Gods.  Anyways, for the gameplay, each character is going to have his or her own type of fighting.  For example, one of the characters might battle with cards similar to the way a person does in Baten Kaitos,  while another would battle the way you do in Final Fantasy VII, another would battle similarly to the way characters do in the Pokemon series, and so-on.

SOME KIND OF AWESOME MMORPG ON CELLPHONES.

Nayrman

SSBB the way everyone wanted it to be...
and trust me I could go on forever on how I would make it XP

tibar21

i wouldn't want to remake SSBB myself cause then I might not enjoy it as much when I actually played it. I would just take the money and go live in San Diego.
