F*** yeah!

Personally, I think he'll do a great job. I was rooting for him.

S***, the electoral votes are currently 324-147. Destroyed him!

This is history. First black president.

So, your opinion?

I'm not looking forward to Obama as President...

Friendly Hostile

I'm just happy that Palin won't be working in the White House for the next 4 years at the very least.

Mm, I don't know how good of a president Biden will be...

I'm glad Obama won.
Out of the 2, IMO Obama seems to be the best choice.

I'm Excited to know that He's the 1st black president, and I'm a part of it though!

Of course, I realize that each person has said what ever they needed to say to gain a persons vote, and it's all probably lies...

but atleast it's over.

I'm so glad Obama won. Now I can rub it in all my friends faces just because they wanted McCain. Anyways that is besides the point... Obama should do well as the new president.

By that, I am sure you mean something will happen to Obama within his 4 years as president... Biden is very capable, but lets hope Obama stays in office.

Just say intercourse  and poop, like anyone cares.

And i'm not thrilled. But whatever.

I sincerely hope you guys get universal health care out of this, because if you do, I'm going to point and laugh for, oh, the rest of my life.

Friendly Hostile

Just because we get universal health care, doesn't mean you're forced to use it.  It depends on what kind of system is put into place.

A century and a half of white liberal guilt has come to the forefront and has bubbled over. Good luck to Obama, he's going to need it.

When the US is stuck in the same quagmire state in 2 years, I'll be sitting back and laughing hysterically at all of the idiots who went around campus trumpeting and chanting tonight. Including my roommate.

I simply cannot understand how people can be that excited about a politician.

actually, if Obama intends to implement universal healthcare, the economy will be in a far worse state in two years time than it is now.

It would seem that a lot of Youth/Teens/Mid 20's are excited that Obama is president, simply because they see for the 1st time a Non Caucasian person running the white house now. He looks younger and "up to date with whats going on", over McCain.

Obama seemed to reach the younger group, and a lot of people in that age ranged really did reach out/related to Obama, so they are happy.

Of course I'm speaking for  A LOT of people I don't even know, and I'm not even in college.

This is my Opinion, sorry.

i'm of the opinion that you shouldn't vote for someone based solely upon:

1. Age
2. Race
3. "Coolness".

Age was a factor in this election because nobody wants to see Palin as president.  people also saw Obama as "hip", which really doesn't make any sense, because he's what... 48?

people should vote for who they vote for because they believe in the beliefs of said nominee.  that should be their only reason for voting for said elected representative.

in a perfect world.
